About ExamPhoto

ExamPhoto is a free set of browser tools for cropping and resizing photos, signatures, thumb impressions and handwritten declarations for application forms.

How the tools work

Select the exam and document type, crop the image in the preview, and make a JPEG. The browser checks the exported image’s pixel dimensions and file size against the values configured for that tool. Image processing happens on your device; the image is not uploaded to ExamPhoto.

How size targets are chosen

Where an official notice gives pixel dimensions and a file-size range, the tool uses those values as its export target. Where a notice gives a physical size but not pixels, ExamPhoto converts the measurement to a working pixel size and labels it as such. If different application routes show different limits, follow the exact upload screen and notice for your application.

Official source links are included on exam pages where available. The source page checked date is shown there. Requirements can change between cycles, posts and portals, so always review the latest official instructions before submitting.

What the tools cannot confirm

A file passing the pixel and KB check does not prove that it meets every visual or administrative rule. ExamPhoto cannot verify whether a photograph is recent, the face is positioned correctly, the background or ink is allowed, handwriting is genuine, or an application portal will accept the file. The tools do not add a background or replace a live photo capture.

Independent project

ExamPhoto is an independent tool and is not affiliated with NTA, UPSC, SSC, IBPS, SBI, Railway Recruitment Boards, IITs, Passport Seva, Protean or any other examination authority. Official names are used only to identify the relevant application or document type.
