Questions

Does this upload my photo?

No. The file is read inside your browser. Nothing is sent to ExamPhoto or anyone else.

What does the checker test?

Whether the file is a real JPEG, its size in KB, its pixel dimensions or shape, and for photos whether the background looks plain and light. For signatures it checks that the ink is visible and the paper is white.

If every check passes, will the portal accept my photo?

Not guaranteed. The checker cannot see whether your face is centred, whether the photo is recent or whether it is really you. Read your notice for those rules.

My file is a JPG but the checker says PNG or HEIC. Why?

Renaming a file does not change its format. The checker reads the file itself. Make a real JPEG with the exam’s tool.
